Telltale Texas Hold'em Game Released
IGN Entertainment has begun to distribute a new interactive, character-driven Texas hold'em game, Telltale Texas Hold'em. Interactive entertainment developer Telltale Inc. announced that the new game is now available on Direct2Drive.com, IGN's digital download retail site.
Telltale Texas Hold'em strays from traditional digital poker games. Its focus is less competition-oriented and more character-oriented. The game features contenders that players of various skill levels would want to face at the poker table. Altogether, four unique characters were developed, each bringing to the table their own story, style and playing strategy.
Character-driven interactive entertainment is Telltale's forte and the Texas hold'em offering is its first commercial product. Distribution through IGN will almost certainly help the newly-formed Telltale get off the ground. IGN has an estimated 24.7 million users around the world.
A free trial version is also available for download directly from Telltale's web site, www.telltalegames.com.
