Poker Bowl USA Tournament of Champions starts this weekend
This Saturday, April 16, begins the inaugural Poker Bowl USA Tournament of Champions. The event will take place aboard the Ocean Jewel casino ship in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The championship event brings together 10 amateur finalists who beat out the competition in their respective regional qualifying tournaments. In order to earn the crown Poker Bowl Champion, amateur players will come to Florida from across the US.
The total prize pool for the tournament is $10,000. In addition to a share in the prize pool, the winner of the inaugural Poker Bowl will also receive the inaugural Poker Bowl USA Cup.
The champion will be awarded his winnings by a representative from BetonUSA.com, the tournament's sponsor.
