What's a good tournament strategy?

I'm lost... I'm entering a tournament soon and I have no idea what to do! Any of you that have played tournaments before, please give me some tips.

intend to play for a long time. most people will be trying to win big money fast. so you should relax, take your time, and wait for them to screw up. at the end of the day you can leave with the big pot :)
