The Texas Hold 'em Park City Poker Round-Up Tournament at the Kansas Coliseum has come to an end. Due to the success of this tournament, several more are planned this the summer.
Darrell Goodwin of Wichita won the tournament this past Sunday. In July, he'll head to Las Vegas to compete in the World Series of Poker.
The tournament has been run for several months. Players from around the country took advantage of the growing national interest in poker. Profits from the tournament will go to Park City Pride, which plans to build a skatepark with the proceeds. They were able to raise about $40,000. Their goal is to reach $120,000.
